Problems With Gun Slings And How To Solve Them
Me and my friend went bear hunting this spring and I noticed that I had a lot of troubles with keeping my gun on my shoulder. Yes, it is a heavier gun and it requires a bit more strength to carry, but still, I didn't expect so many troubles with it. I constantly had to keep my hand on it while I was walking through wet and steep terrain. Sometimes I was holding the rifle itself, other times I was holding the sling. It wasn't very comfortable. Especially when I needed both hands to keep myself from falling down. Plenty of them are right here on this site.
The worse thing is - I fell down two times. I simply didn't have enough support with one hand and the rifle was so heavy that it kept me off balance. I got one bruise but I was more stressed with the fact that I fell. I figured out something needs to be done so I am now in a hunt for a new rifle sling. I saw there are many of them to be bought online and will definitely have a look at the reviews to see what others folks are saying about which sling to choose for a heavy rifle. I think I will find something soon, will update you all on my findings.
